The Agent workspace in Blast Audit supports multiple parallel chats, so you do not need one giant thread for every question. Using tabs well makes follow-up easier and keeps workbook tasks traceable. In parts of the add-in, the assistant still appears as Copilot Audit Agent.

Who this is for

  • Users working with the Agent feature inside the Excel add-in

  • Teams asking the agent for several different tasks in the same workbook

  • Anyone who wants cleaner conversation history and better context control

Before you begin

  • Confirm the Agent item is visible in the add-in navigation

  • Sign in with the account that has access to the feature

  • Open the worksheet and documents you want the agent to work against

How to do it

  1. Open Agent from the add-in navigation.

  2. Use the + button to create a new tab for each separate task. The add-in supports up to 10 tabs.

  3. Start each tab with a specific first message. If the tab still has a default name like Chat 1, Blast Audit can rename it from your first user prompt.

  4. Double-click a tab name if you want to rename it yourself.

  5. Keep one tab per workstream, for example one for matching help, one for cleanup, and one for formula questions.

  6. Use Tools mode inside the chat when you want more control. Auto is faster. Manual lets you approve each tool action first.

  7. Close finished tabs with the close button so the remaining tabs stay focused.

  8. Open the tab menu if you want Give feedback or Replay tour.

Expected result

  • Each tab has one clear goal

  • Tab names are short and specific

  • Sensitive or write-heavy tasks use Manual mode when needed

  • You can come back to a tab and still understand the exact context

Avoid this

  • Keeping every request in one long mixed chat

  • Starting with a vague first message and ending up with an unhelpful tab title

  • Opening many tabs with overlapping context and then forgetting which one is authoritative

  • Asking the agent to act on a worksheet or document without first making that context clear

If it still doesn't work

  • If Agent is not visible, the feature may not be enabled for your workspace yet

  • If the agent feels off-topic, open a fresh tab and restate the task more precisely

  • If you want to understand the interface again, use Replay tour

  • If you think you found a bug, use Give feedback from the tab menu
