Use this article when you want a safe first run before touching client material. The attachments at the bottom of this article are synthetic and designed for upload, OCR, Document Viewer, snips, and a first matching run.

Use the attachments for

  • uploading documents into the add-in

  • waiting for OCR to finish cleanly

  • opening pages in Document Viewer

  • creating a Text Snip or Sum Snip

  • running one clean Document Matching pass

Attachments to use

How to practice

  1. Download the three PDF files plus starter-input.csv and viewer-targets.csv from this article.

  2. Open a blank workbook in Excel and import starter-input.csv into a sheet.

  3. Upload the three PDFs from Documents in the add-in.

  4. Wait until every file shows OCR Status = Complete.

  5. Use viewer-targets.csv as your checklist in Document Viewer and create a few basic snips.

  6. Run Document Matching on the starter rows and compare your output against starter-expected-results.csv.

Expected result

  • OCR completes on all three PDFs

  • You can create basic snips from the invoices

  • Matching returns readable output without a heavy cleanup pass

Use this before live work

  • Run this pack once if your team is new to the add-in

  • Use it again after onboarding, permission, or device changes

  • If this pack works but live files do not, the issue is usually file quality or document scope, not setup
